Welcome to Caldwell Enhanced Option School

Dear Parents:

The faculty and staff would like to welcome you to Caldwell Enhanced Option School.  I am honored to be the principal of Caldwell Enhanced Option School. Our school has a caring and welcoming environment.  I am looking forward to meeting your child (children) on the first day of school.

I feel that my responsibility as the Principal is to ensure your child receives a quality education within a safe, respectful environment.  I know the staff at Caldwell Enhanced Option shares the same focus.  I am a firm believer in the home/school connection.  Please feel free to contact me at the school with any questions, concerns, or just to introduce yourself.  Working together only enhances your child’s educational experiences.  I will continue to work diligently with parents and faculty to foster an atmosphere that promotes a learning community characterized by child centered instruction and decisions, academic excellence, trust, respect, community involvement, excellent communications, and recognition of both student and staff achievement. I am committed to working in collaboration with you to continue to develop and implement this shared vision. Working together as a team we will move forward in our mission this new school year to create a nurturing, disciplined, and challenging environment in which all students can learn at optimum levels and become responsible members of society.  We have so much to be proud of as a staff, family, and community.

As a matter of business, I ask that you please be understanding as we continue to work to ensure a safe school environment.  Your child’s safety is our first concern at dismissal/arrival. To this end, we ask that you follow the initial routines outlined in the parent letter you recently received with your child’s class assignment.  These routines may change slightly as we begin the year and determine the number of children being picked up by their parents.  Also, the district has enacted a policy regarding changing your child’s normal dismissal routine.  If you need to change your child’s means of transportation home, this must be done in writing.  Phone requests may not be honored.  I understand this is a change from previous years.  However, this policy helps to ensure a safe dismissal.  If you have any questions regarding this, please call us.

I hope your enjoy the remaining days of summer vacation.  We will see everyone on Wednesday, August 1st.

Thank You,

Michael Ross

Principal
